What do we say at TDF when we’re on the floor and talking to our operators and technicians?

We say “Un Equipo” which if you speak some Spanish you’ll know means “One Team”. That’s not a slogan or a poster or part of our Quality Policy ("to meet or exceed ur customers expectations…. blah blah blah”) it’s how we operate from top to bottom here.

Our Team? We think they’re pretty special.

TDF is very fortunate that employee retention has been excellent for many years and we do all we can to make TDF a good place to work. One where employees feel valued, empowered and well taken care of. Okay, so as a customer I'm sure that gives you the same warm and fuzzy feeling you get when your parts are delivered on time, to specification and at a competitive price. Or at least close to the same feeling anyway.

But it is important to our customers that our Team is respected and appreciated here because they are the “Touch Team”, the people that actually process your parts. And frankly, we can be great managers and have good chemistry and pricing but…. Without the hands on “Touch Team”, all of that would mean nothing. At this point of time that is especially important with the company having been sold and the management team new to TDF, the same people that have done good work for you for many years are still the same operators and technicians who handled your material before. The people who really determine if TDF is a success or "just another plater” have all stayed with us. So while we have new Team members in management and many of the voices on the phone and answering emails have changed, the Quality and handling, the familiarity and finesse adjustments that can make a big difference in the finishing, are all intact.

So we count ourselves extremely fortunate to have retained and supported our experienced workforce. The people who know the shop, the equipment, the processes, and most importantly of all, your parts, are still the key to our collective success.
